Cyanotype: Print, Color, Stitch!
At the Pacific Northwest Art School, Whidbey Island, WA
Date: Monday to Wednesday, June 15-17, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Ages: 15+
Cost: $610 (includes $25 registration and $35 materials fee),
We will create prints on paper and fabric substrates using the historical cyanotype photographic process. Students will learn how the non-toxic cyanotype chemicals react during exposure to sun/UV light to produce permanent, magical, blue and white images.
Adding common household materials to botanical specimens and other objects, students will add color and texture to their prints and make a one-of-a-kind stitched fabric book or other textile object, involving both random and intentional mark-making.
