Landscape / Nature

For the past year, a bit despondent from current events, especially policies intent on destroying our environment, I have been wandering the nature preserves, trails, and by-ways near my CT home, gathering images of native growth and wetlands, as well as roadside invasive plants and local farms and meadows. The act of walking through these spaces in a meditative way, breathing deeply, carefully listening and looking, calms my nerves and gives me focus. Preserving their beauty in my photos helps me believe that I am doing something intentional, and meaningful, to keep all of this from being destroyed.
